Tell him to match your best deal and he gets the sale.

If that's not what you want to do, I would just drop it, you have nothing to gain by sending the email to his boss except revenge and who really cares about that in this type of situation.

As you said, he had a new baby last week, its not the nicest of things to get him fired this time.
If he's good enough as ur sales guy, he'll accept the offer.

Personally I'd avoid doing anything that might further upset this guy and I'd take my business to another dealer.

The problem as I see it is if he is really experiencing mental illness you don't want to be in a position where he might try to harm you or your family. If he even has those tenancies.

However, not alerting anyone could also be an issue, he might need help and could be a danger to himself or his family.

Maybe I'm making too much of it but there are warning signs as others have indicated. He is so far over the line professionally it's incredible. Minimally this guy is really stupid, worse case is he has an illness that could cause him to have some really bad behavior.

No response from him and I don’t expect to see one. I did speak to my service advisor who is at the same dealership. I told him the whole situation and I forwarded the email. He will review it and will recommend if I need to go to the GM or higher (AutoNation Management). He did apologize to me and said it was very unprofessional. My SA is awesome and I only go to him to have my car serviced.

Oh... I forgot to mention that my ex sales guy sent me a text saying to check my email @ 500 am the same day he sent out the email. Who does that? Luckily I wasn’t awaken from it but I would have been really pissed if it did.

^ he's a troubled individual. The sales guy needs to know that not every deal will go his way and should not take it personal. check your work at the door when you leave the office and when you go home. to stress over a sale in the middle of the night and have to address that to someone in their email is certainly not normal.

Economy 101, LEt peopla make a profit specially when their service and product is worth it.

You can shop on price grabber for the same electronics for less also but then when you read the cheapest vendor's review one quickly finds out there is no service or find bad reviews. It does not take a genius to sell a car by lowering the price but it takes lots of time and effort to sell a car, make a profit, build value and creat loyalty and a relationship as a sales person for the best product and provide supporting service. We sell the best and highest quality product the automotive industry has to offer, we are the Apple of the automotive industry. I am not one bit hesitant to ask MSRP on all our line up because we make the best autos. There is a diference between a professional making a carrer selling a product they believe in or just the cheapest sales person. You should never ask someone to forgive their paycheck or profit because you befriend them but you already know that, I am sure.
It's very simple, Buy a BMW because you appreciate its quality and pay for it at MSRP, I do not understand why you think I should be ashamed or feel somehow less adequate bacause I want to make our organization a profit and make a paycheck, lets say your boss and you become good friends, does that mean you should work for free or after providing good service for him and being his best engineer after many years since you are his best friend now you should consider taking less money than the engineers he just hired.

No one can afford to keep their job, earn any any kind of living selling the stuff at cost.

hahaha... this guy is truly something. i guess all those other sales reps didn't care to make money so they sold the car to you at close to cost. No dealer would sell at cost that's very rare. this guy is just having a hard time that's all. Leave it and just wait for your new E70 to arrive from another dealer. You'll be happy you got a deal elsewhere. this guy is just butt hurt that you got your vehicle from another source. As I mentioned before we have many dealerships in the bay area, if one can't do the deal I"m sure another would.
