One last question - do ALL of these different brands flicker when the door is unlocked?

Hear that those Mtech and Lux run pretty hot.. the heatsink is hot that can't be handle.

Do you find any issue with that type of heat in the housing?

Have anyone try these.. Umnitza just release it like a few months.. E53 and been having pretty good luck with them

My lux amber are still good. Got the first batch from Marc last year. Good thing I bought them early..since he's stopped production of ambers.

I've had the LUX White, updated version installed for just over a year now and the X5 is my daily driver. They have been working awesome and no issues whatsoever this entire time.

Lux dud...

I just got my Lux bulbs and unfortunately one is a complete dud. Barely lights up at all. I've emailed the company and I'm hoping for a swift response, especially considering the cost of these, I'm pretty disappointed to be honest.

Here it is, full power. It flickers and is dimmer than a christmas light.

Update: Lux is mailing a replacement bulb for the cost of a $75 deposit that will be refunded once they receive the defective unit.

Nothing like prompt customer service. Hopefully this unit will operate flawlessly.

Second update: Lux came through. Sent a new bulb and they look/work awesome. I wish they would have reimbursed me the additional shipping charges (returning the old defective bulb) but it's not like it broke the bank or anything.

Anyway, happy now. Thanks LUX
