Maybe it's only on the 2011 X5Ms, cause all the real life pics people are posting of their brand new 2011 X5s show the opposite (yellow bulbs) angel eyes, including mine.

The other thing is that CAs aren't always the most knowledgeable people. It's obvious that the bulbs are different for this car. Maybe some of the posters here on these forums who have the 2011 X5Ms can verify?

2011 X6M - "Angel Eyes" Upgrade?

I'm the very proud new owner for a 2011 X6M and am having difficulty finding out if the "Angel Eye" upgrades listed throughout this thread are compatible with my vehicle. I think I've seen that a few people with 2010 X5's and X5M's have installed them but not anyone with a 2011 X6M.
I'm not the mechanically inclined and don't know if 2010 X5 bulbs will work on an my car and am paranoid that I'll purchase the wrong bulbs.
Basically, I don't like the Yellow in my Bulbs and want to upgrade them to a "whiter" light... ideally more powerful as well.
Can anyone recommend a bulb that will do what I want for my vehicle?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Did you go with the 7500K or the 8500K and what do you think? I feel like the 8500K would be a bit to Bright and hopefully the 7500K just right.

Thoughts?

So here's to beating a dead horse. Saw a 2011 3 series convertible today. Headlights look amazing...make audi look like tunerboy autozone shit boxes. Cannot get over how they could fuck us over like this when all these cheaper vehicles come with the new led's.... such crap. Is it possible to install the oem lights from the 2011 5 series? I know there are aftermarket changes to consider...just wondering...

They look pretty amazing on the new F10 5 series. Too bad the rest of the car is butt ugly.

I share your frustration, I cannot believe BMWNA pull this out on the X5 LCI when all the other 2011 LCI models are coming out with the updated coronas/angel eyes. At this point I will probably proceed with the GP thunders and wait. I have feeling that by end of year 2011 X5 production will have the update, then it becomes a matter of trying to retrofit the system.
