First time posting pictures.
Replaced silver kidney/front grills with matte black, installed running board(not by me, autobody shop did it).

Will be getting 21" 128's soon, so my 214's "might" be available for sale.

Showing the rim/tire front and rear - 800 miles on it!

Thanks for looking.

I'll buy your 214s via cash or paypal.com, if you have an account. I'll also pick them up locally, so you won't have to ship them.

I'm in San Francisco, but I can drive down any weekend, and most weekdays.

Name your price (within reason, of course) and I'll take them!

PM me, and if you have any trouble with that, let me know and I'll give you my e-mail, etc.

Thanks and look forward to chatting

phattbam 02-02-2010 07:54 PM

^^ I'm not sure if you posted earlier on this thread but it seems like there might be a waiting list for them once they get set up for sale. :D they are a hot set

Thank you for your interest.
Unfortunately, there are about 5 other members that are interested and have PM'd or e-mailed me before you. We will see how it goes with the other interested members. I will respond to inquiries by first PM/e-mail and go from there. I will probably wait a couple of weeks before making my decision to sell or not to sell.
Thank you.

phattbam 02-02-2010 09:40 PM

so the 128's were originally chrome? do you know if the shop who did them stripped the chrome first?

Noodle555 02-02-2010 10:05 PM

Sweet ride. Can't wait to see pics after new wheels and springs mounted:popcorn:

SAV not lowered yet. Trying to "feel" the "stiffness" of the 21's.
Driving from shop to office, which is about 4 miles, not too bad.
Will try few more days and then decide whether to "drop or not to drop''.

Those wheels look fat, however I think I prefer the contrast of the silver wheels. Funny how the gap between the fender and tires seems more noticeable now.

I do like the grilles though. Where did you get them, upper and lower?

I just got the smoked front reflectors from EAS. I think they would add to your theme

shashankmittal 02-03-2010 10:26 PM

Wheels looks nice! I envy you that you can drive with summer tires during this time of the year, while we drive here with snow tires on ice and snow :(

I think the biggest advantage with black wheels is that the brake dust would hardly be visible, but at the same time, wheels will pick up dust from the road very easily...specially on wet/muddy roads.

fpdok2 02-04-2010 12:34 AM

Drove the SAV 22 miles from office to home. The ride quality is about the same with the 20's.
The TPMS(2009) worked!

saius 02-04-2010 11:59 AM

Beautiful, can u please post some more pics from the back?

mtech8 02-04-2010 03:18 PM

Nice! That's the first time I've seen the 128's in black. Very cool.

I agree. I didn't notice the gap as much when I had 214's. When I put the 128's on mine. They seem more noticeable. It looks/feels like the car is higher up. But it could just be my imagination.

Your statement is probably true. But I feel like my 128's don't get as dirty as quickly as the 214's did. Plus, it's a whole lot easier to clean them.

fpdok2 02-04-2010 10:13 PM
