Dash Vibration near headlight knob anyone else?

Seems like a lot of complaining here and the "other site" recently so I hesitated to post this question. As a result, I will post something positive about my 2010 X5d at the end.

Between 1500 and 1800 rpm, I can make/reproduce my dashboard on the left adjacent to the headlight knob to vibrate/hum enough to notice above and beyond my music playing, the ac ventilation noise or even with the widow's open. I have learned that pushing on the beige cheap plastic surronding the black 7 inch plastic rectangle headlight border will effect the hum. My cheap plastic piece is colored beige (like my interior) and itself is bordered by the nice leatherplastic part of the dash. No significant temp changes here to account for my new co-pilot. 1600 miles so far and 21mpg with the most inefficent short, stop and go city rides.

Here is something positive though. I use my hands free voice activation and when I (nearly always) forget the correct words to say the system verbally goes through my options automatically for that subset which is greatly appreciated and will eventually teach me to be more accurate and quick.

I find the voice command horribly inaccurate. Mom has a '10 C300 and the COMAND system's voice recognition is SO much better. Entering NAV destinations step by step and phone numbers are cake. That said, idrive is better overall of course... wish I actually had confidence in the voice commands though - I never bother. They should also be quicker to listen for & respond to a command too... too tedious.
