Cargo Area Lashing Rails Retrofit
 

Canadian cars are no longer available with the storage package (493). I'd like to have these in my 2011 (on order) but it seems from realoem that it requires replacement of the cargo area floor.

I'm thinking I could have the panel cut to size.

Has anyone retrofitted these on the cheap (or any other way)?

Wonder why they deleted this from Canada?

I looked at the 2010 and 2011 Canadian Order Guides and they are almost identical and neither mention the 'storage package'. The only DELETE in 2011 is the roof rails. Is this documented as being deleted somewhere?

The Ms have it. I'm pretty sure it was available here at some point. They deleted it from the X6 for 2010.

I was looking at a 2010 at Autohaus that had every option and didn't have it.

I apologize but I went back to the 2009 Canadian Order Guide and found that the 493 Storage Compartment Package was part of the ZCZ Activity package for 2009. This is not available in 2010+. Other things in this old package are the Headlight Washers and they are now standard, the Running boards are a separate option and the Ski Bag is in the Executive Package.

According to the 2009 brochure, Storage package includes lighting in the centre console storage compartment, a 12-volt socket, two lashing rails with four lashing points in the luggage compartment, multi-function hooks, and storage nets left and right (included in the Activity Package).

I wonder if the other stuff in this package is missing too.
