No airflow from dashboard AC vent

Guys, I am noticing since few days that there is no airflow from *all* of my dashboard's AC vents. There is airflow from the ones that are on top of the dash and the rear vent (near the windshield). I tried all settings, Manual, Auto and even MAX, but nothing seems to be working. This happens with both cooling and heating.

Any idea what could be going on? Has anyone had any such problem before?

There are vent control settings on iDrive. Have you tried that?

I tried the vent control settings on iDrive for manual and auto programs. Tried switching to MAX mode, turned off the air filter...but nothing helped.
I am suspecting the air blower inside is not working.:(

have to ask - the vertical wheels beside the vents are set to the open position?

Am having exactly similar problem with my 2007 E70 3.0D. Intermittently, no airflow from the vents though aircon was working fine (can hear the sound from the blower and cold air from the top of the dash) making it tricky for the workshops to diagnose. Have you found out what the problem is?

I have set up an appointment with my dealer. Will update soon.

Happened to me- final stage resistor had to be replaced. Not a big deal except it shouldn't have had to be replaced on such a new car.

Is that resistor as part of the air blower or the air-conditioner itself?

Blower I think- but I am really mechanically/technically challenged.
