Does anyone make black gloss kidney grills for e70 ?

I have been looking for black gloss kidney grills for the x5. I have seen ones with carbon fibre and also the matte black ones on eBay. I know the dealer carries the gloss black for the m3 but cannot find ones for the X. I have seen ppl paint theirs but didn't wan to go that route.

Why not? If its done right, it looks great and will last forever. Your body shop shouldnt charge a great deal to do it. I just bought a new set and had them painted.

I went to a few body shops and they didn't want to do it because it was too
small of a job.

Btw: poleposition, looks very nice, exactly what I was looking for. How much did the body shop charge u. A couple places told me they would do it if there was other work needed to the car but not "just" the grill bezel.

Yes, but the gloss black tend to chip on the paint much more then these. The ones I got are solid abs plastic I believe, so no chipping even on a lot of highway driving. The stock ones you don't want to paint any color either as you will notice they have small gaps in the lines it causes it to chip even quicker because they slide back and forth.

Not if its done properly. Ive done this to several grills and if the paint shop knows what they're doing, you should not have these quality issues you speak of.

Ummm, no, they don't chip anymore than matte. Those are still painted.
Regardless, he is looking for gloss, not matte. How does that just mean you put up a link and story for matte grills......:chair:
