I think the shadowline trim is worth whatever the package costs all by itself.

On the 50i (US), the standard is chrome/black matte vinyl trim. In my opinion, it looks common (if not cheap).

On the 35i (US), the standard is black matte rubber/vinyl trim. In my opinion, it also looks common.

Didn't bother with the adaptive drive since I can't see myself doing crazy things on a 5K lbs vehicle, esp. when my family is going to be w/me in it most of the time. The stock suspension is firm enough for me to take corners at a "fair rate of speed". If it was a sedan or coupe I'd given the upgraded suspension alot more consideration.

I agree with everything you said here 100%! And I did the same for the same reason - the family..

I'd have to look more closely at the door trims next time I see a non-SA model, didn't realize the other models look "cheap". I thought about using the budget from the SA pkg. to upgrade to the V-8 too. Glad I didn't cuz I HATE CHROME.

Every BMW that I have owned has had the sport package and personally I will never get a BMW without the sport package. My current E70 has the sport package w/ adaptive drive so that is all that I know. When I test drove the 2011 w/ sport package, I thought the car felt softer than my current E70. I can say this, I could tell the difference when I went from the 18" wheels to the 19". I felt the car was a bit more planted in the corner. I really think the options are a personal thing and that if you can justify the price and want the option get it.

I've seen 335 style 19s in real life, and I am glad I did not get them ;)

If i am not mistaken thos 19s being talked about are ugly and nearly impossible to clean.....The "spokes" ow whatever are like connected so I can imagine trying to get brake dust out and screamin:tantrum:
