Just drove my 5.0 home and it is AMAZING!!
Let me start by thanking Le mans Palbay and EVERYONE on this forum because of which I didnt buy a 2010 and knew well before the dealership that the 5.0 was coming.....you guys ROCK!!!!
Now for my brief story.... I Just got home after picking up and driving the new car from 340 miles away (300+ miles)...All I can say is WOW!!!:wow: The engine is amazing and the new transmission is the smoothest thing I have driven.Amazing power at the slightest touch to the accelerator. I would have been nabbed at least 3 times on my way home had it not been for my Escort 9500.....Its no M but it sure as hell is close!!! The wheels ( 336) look really amazing and the cinnamon is better than anything I had expected.Very nice dull reddish brown i.e. not flashy but still has pop....in short I am VERRRYYYY HAPPYYYY:thumbup: I had bought based on specs alone and it truly performs better than expected.Saphire Black looks amazing with the wheel flares and the tires totally complete the car.....no need for the M sport if you get black as far as I am concerned!! I think everyone who ordered the 5.0 will be VERY HAPPY!! The sport package with the 336 just adds to the looks and the handling is wayyyy better than my 2007..... On a side note I ordered and leased it through Bobby Rahal BMW In Pittsburgh/Cannonsburg and just can't say enough good things about them.In fact this is the second car I have bought from them..They gave me a great deal, no games both times. They were so good that I actually bought from them despite being 400 miles away! The sales Manager Paul Rahal is a stand up guy and Dwight woodside my CA is about the nicest guy I have ever met.It was Dwights day off but he still came to pick me up from the Airport at 8 am.He spent the morning showing me the car and then sent me on my merry way. They knew all about MSD'S AND they never tried to sell me anything extra. They delivered everything they had promised me in our negotiations down to the license plate holder and fleece I had jokingly said they should throw in !!!They also gave be the base Buy rate with no attempts at a mark up. All I can say is it was truly an outstanding buying experience and one I wish everyone buying a 70k + car could experience. Call them if you want to be treated in an honest respectful way...they can Arrange PCD's etc or you can fly in (Pittsburgh is cheap because Southwest and US airways fly there a lot) and drive the car home like I did.Its better than taking Sh@#$%T from local dealers as they were hassle free. Ill post pics as soon as I recover from the 3 hours of sleep last night, 615 am flight and 4 hour 10 min drive home...yes it was around 340 miles and yes I said a bit over 4 hours.... Thanks again everyone...this forum rocks!!! |
