Nice Jordans. I feel that the silver X5's can pull off the polished lip look well. :)

The Big Easy 05-09-2010 04:04 PM

Congratulations on the mods-looks sweet!

Cheers,

:iagree: +2

Nice wheels, just too big for the car, and the lowering doesn't help the overall look IMO.

CarsRmyVICE 05-10-2010 12:34 AM

Too be honest just reading the title knowing I was going to see another x5 slammed and tinted on Lebrons (23's for all you non-americans) I was like....I am not going to like the outcome. But I really think you have a good look going there. It really works with the silver for some reason. Nice job! I would never put my x on skates like that, but Ive done it in the past to other trucks so I can't hate on your style. Norway! With winter 20's! I must be misinformed about winters up there!

poleposition 05-10-2010 08:18 AM

Looks great

olavskar 05-10-2010 11:25 AM

Thank you all for the feedback!
Here in Trondheim, Norway it actually was snow on the ground when I looked out the window this morning.. :(

The pictures is taken on my neighbor´s farm, next to his stables.

Today I have mounted the chrome locking lugs on the rims.
I also got my H11 hid xenon for the fog lights. I will mount it later today.

olavskar 05-10-2010 11:48 AM

Here are some pictures of the 20" Nokian Hakkapellitta winter tires and the angeleyes H8 led.

Also some pictures of the brake calipers. Before and after painting..

Hey Olav - Couple questions:

- What kind of farm is it?
- Why are you installing Led numberplate lights?
- Do the 2 red reflectors in the rear bumper trim actually light up or are they just reflectors?
- Do you have rear fog lights?
- What are BMW mirror emblems?
- What paint did you use for the calipers and rotors?
- Do you have the wide angle mirrors on the driver and passenger sides?
- You are due East of Iceland, can you see the exploding volcano from where you are?

Great pics btw.!

Stevev 05-10-2010 12:41 PM

X5 Meister 05-10-2010 11:19 PM

Well it started off as a couple...

The Big Easy 05-11-2010 06:08 AM

Olav,

I have only two - what horses are bred there (Friesans?!) and where did you source all the carbon fibre roundels (rims, hood and trunk)?

Cheers,

hotrod2448 05-11-2010 07:24 AM

Good looking vehicle. I also love the Gwagen. I was really close to picking up a used G55 before getting my X.

calix5fan 05-17-2010 06:50 PM

Beautiful.

alewifebp 05-17-2010 11:40 PM

I too was expecting something really crazy looking on 23s, but I was very pleasantly surprised. As much as it is possible, it is very tastefully done.

And beautiful setting to be taking pictures. I'm Norwegian myself and would definitely love to visit the country one of these days.

TaMbALoLoNg 05-20-2010 07:55 PM

Feelin' the lowered look..not to crazy 'bout the shoes though. Very nice...

gregwx5 05-28-2010 08:03 PM

When I grow up, I want an X just like yours!! Haha....amazing!

MPowerFarmer 05-29-2010 04:32 AM

Yes please lets us know, and if possible can you provide some daytime pics with the new angel eyes. I will soon take delivery of my E70 and i'm trying to source the brightest angel eyes.

d3athr0w 05-29-2010 10:48 AM

going for 23's and lowering the vehicle - what's the driveability like? Still comfortable or sport like?

X5 Meister 07-25-2010 02:25 AM

Bumping post #18 to Norway dude... olavskar !

DONONE69 07-25-2010 07:48 AM

lovely looking car, it sits perfect,if you ever get bored of the wheels, you could always matt black the centre of the wheels and leave the lip polished..

BMWenvy 07-25-2010 10:36 AM

Very slick. One of the best looking E70's that I've seen.

blackbumer 07-25-2010 01:17 PM

Sweet looking ride you got there :D

m5james 08-16-2010 12:02 AM

The wheels and your stance fit your vehicle very nicely...I wouldn't change a single thing. Very clean.

Dking05 08-16-2010 12:30 AM

Wow... When i saw 23'" i though "Umm"... but im actually impressed on how the combo worked perfectly!

Nice Job
