Pearl Bliss * Delivered *

11 Attachment(s)
This car actually replaced "Pearl Bliss", my Maxima. It's been a very long journey as the car was actually ordered in Feb. The new build cycle, CARB issues and the disgusting seat module campaign all made this delivery less than it could be.

Nonetheless, the X5 visually surprised me in a couple of areas.
The Cinn Brown leather is probably 3 shades darker that I had anticipated after seeing saddle brown. It's not a negative, just a different look. Leather feels great too.
The AW looks great and will look even better once I get some tint on that biotch!
Style 335 rims impressed even more in person. The 19's didn't come out too small and they look more aggressive in person. I do like the looks of the 336's, but the cost of 315 rear tires, added weight and them only coming with summer tires turned me off.
Top View and all the electronics are cool. Glad I got all those toys! :D
The lack of LED and refreshed headlights the rest of the world gets is a final downer.
Will be de-badging, tinting and clear bra'ing post haste.

Can't say I'm a fan of the xDrive badges on the sides of the car either. We pay this much for a car and we have to wear advertising too?

Congrats! Nice ride and nice color combo....

rh71 05-24-2010 11:44 PM

grats - nice last pic.

BGM 05-24-2010 11:50 PM

Congrats. Looks like a neighbor in pic #4 is watching behind a tree ha.

BTW---let us know how the clear bra goes. I'm curious as to how well it fits on the lower front bumper with the angles and ridges (if it doesn't sit perfectly flush).

Congrats on the new ride. Very nice.

Xtony 05-25-2010 07:23 AM

Very nice! I actually love the seat color with the white exterior. Now go hardwire that radar detector.

Just curious do you regret not getting the m-sports package.

M-sport is not available with the diesel. I wouldn't have gotten it anyway as it does not fix the issues I listed. Plus at $6500, I find it to be too expensive for what you get.

Very nice color combo...I like the new wheel design also. Congratz!!! By the way, I like that blue toy next to your X5 :D

Thanks. I am really pleased with the new wheel design too. The 19's worked out perfectly.

The blue toy is still where it's at!

like the car a lot but not the rims. i upgraded from the 19s to the 214s and im glad i did. the spokes not being separated make those 335 rims look like hubcaps. besides that the car looks great!

214's with summers meant another expense in secondary rims or tires.

If you see the 335's in person, I'm sure it would look differently to you. I've never once thought that could be a possibility looking at them in person.

Dieselgeek 05-25-2010 07:16 PM

the 214s on my 35d came with dunlops but i plan to take them off asap for some conti DWS. then i wouldnt need another set of tires in winter

AwesomeM3 05-25-2010 09:21 PM

Already have tint and clear-bra scheduled for Fri. Car bakes at work. Thank god for the Rest function.

Looks awesome! Great combo.

Great to see that the Pearl Bliss lives on.

X5 Meister 05-25-2010 11:07 PM

Wow, cinnamon does look much darker than I had thought as well. It almost looks like tobacco. Rims look great too. You made a nice choice. Congrats.

I had the same impression as dieselgeek until I saw the 335s in person. They seem to just work in the real world.
