Looks great. Nice and clean. I hope you also debadged the hideous front door badges as well.

Thanks.
Yes, I mentioned those.

good job. Looks clean. And to those of you who are worried about looking cheap....your driving a new bmw...nobody is mistaking you for cheap

no badge = cleaner look ... the Xdrive badge is rediculous/ redundant ... um, it's an X5

the only reason I'd debadge the 3.0 is because it's hard to clean around and in it but I'm not going to do it.

I wouldn't mind so much if they just put an X5 35d or whatever on the trunk but the badges on the side are simply ridiculous. The small 4.4i and 3.0i in the past were annoying but really, xDrive35d. WTF, why not put your web site address there too!

I totally disagree with you pro-debadgers. I really don't get it. In Europe, it seems nearly every 'nice/luxury' car was debadged. Typically it was obviously the smaller diesel models that were debadged.

I know you all say you like the car 'clean'. But too me, it's almost always those of you with smaller engined car, like you don't want anyone to know that you have the less expensive model. As was pointed out, you didn't remove the M badge from your M car. You haven't removed the BMW roundel either. Only any reference to you having the 3.5, etc.

I know we are all welcome to our own opinions. But it really seems weird to me. Do you try and cover up/remove labels from everything you purchase? Personally, if I buy something nice, and I like the brand, I'm proud of the product.

Just my stupid opinion :).

As you may have noticed, there is a general move, particularly in America, away from conspicuous consumption to something more restrained. The downturn in the economy accelerated this.

Personally, I have always tried to avoid/remove unnecessary labels. I don't understand why anyone would want to be a walking ad platform for a corporation.

Removing the roundel would have the opposite effect and just attract unwanted attention. I have no problem with a small trim specific label on the back but with the increasing size of labels on all 4 sides of the car, where will it end? I'm just glad it's still easy to debadge so we have the option.
