replacing the tail lights to the new ones :)

hi all,
i'm thinking of changing my 09 X5s' tail lights to the new OEM LED's
that comes with the LCI 2010\2011,,

just got of the pone with the dealer & they said that it will cost about 1590 US$
i don't know i find it a bit high :s

let me know what do you think guys :)
cheers,

How much of that was labor?

To me they just look like they are a different shape and a little thicker. We already have the bars, it's not all that dissimilar, and not worth anything over a few hundred bucks imo.

Ya but have you seen the new ones at night... :wow:

Are there any compatibility issues? or is it a simple plug and play retrofit?

That price does sound a little steep for rear. I expect that more from the front light housing.

:iagree:For $500, and maybe a little elbow grease, its worth it. But for close to $2K, not worth it (and yes, I love the look over the 1st gen E70.)

On a side note however, and in an attempt to be different, I have been eying the LED aftermarket taillight assemblies (in the $500 range...) for the E70's...

I have been looking for aftermarket LED's. Do you have a link? There was a set on ebay but they are gone.
