Another Tint Question (specifically the rear window)
 

I am thinking about getting Formula One Pinnacle tint on my X5 with 35 on the front windows and 15 on the rears (with privacy glass). What should I do with the rear window (hatchback)? I live in AZ so heat issues (and visibility) are more important than "looking cool". :cool:

Get the darkest legal tint for AZ!

I too am in AZ and am planning on tinting my black saphire x5 once it is delivered. Where are you looking to get yours done? The only recommended place I've found so far is Danny's in N. Scottsdale and they only sell HuperOptik. I am currently set on getting the HO Stark 30 (ceramic) on all windows. I find that it's best to get the same shade from front to back so that it looks like a more professional finish. What color is you X5? If I were going with a lighter X5, I might get the Stark 20.

Yeah dannys has a monopoly on HO. I am a bit leery about taking to the chain car wash, especially with HO being difficult to apply. But I still haven't made up my mind. I am thinking about using Made in the Shade in Mesa. They are one of the only Pinnacle dealers.

My x5 is montego blue with tan interior. It already has the rear climate package with the privacy glass.

Oh that's right.. with the privacy glass, I'm not expert but I'd still probably just go 35 on both front and rears.. maybe 15 for hatchback? It's too bad the pinnacle doesn't come in 20/25. I don't know how much help I could be here. Sorry!

I looked at Made in the Shade and still think I'm set on Danny's.. but who knows, I have a few weeks left to decide (hopefully less).

It will look awkward with darker tint in the back. Do 20% front and then 30% over the rear privacy.
