Dumb 2011 question....are the mats included or not?

I ordered a 2011 x5 50 platinum grey/sand beige last week. I had a similar experience to others, I knew more about the car/options then did the 3 different dealers I visited.

I went with the premium package, premium sound, sports activity, rear climate, technology package, cold weather package, running boards, and roof rack.

I have not found anything regarding the mats on any website including BMW, BMWUSA, BMWCA, BMWUK, invoice listings on edmunds or consumer reports.

So does the damn thing come with them or not?? Because I want to know now before I take delivery so I can make my dealer throw them in (I am not paying a dime for them as far as I am concerned)

Technically they are not obligated to include them, but buying a 50i with the options you did, they really should include them without question.

I ordered a 35i and made sure they wrote on the order sheet before I signed "Includes Floormats".

Vehicles that arrive after the first week of May do not include Mats. Spartanburg was including mats as part of a trial program. Most dealerships don't even talk about the cost of mats, they throw them in, they would be stupid not to, they are $150! Talk about poor customer service.

Yep we did not discuss it but on delivery day my dealer gave me a set of bmw carpet mats, which I was able to pick the color of. They also gave me a key chain whoohoo and a free drumstick ice cream cone out of their sweet freezer in the showroom haha All that and all you have to do is fork over 65k what a country:rofl:

My dealer included the floor mats as a throwaway negotiating point. Should be a non-issue, but I came across several dealer "mistakes" in the ordering process that just happened to be in their favor. Best to confirm in advance. If you take delivery at the performance center in SC and want mats installed when you pick up, the dealer will need to make this arrangement in advance.

thanks everyone for the info. I am basically going in with the notion the dealer is throwing them in. If they don't, then they lose my business (obviously they won't let me walk). It'd be real nice if they throw in an extra set of the rubber mats.

Next point is that stupid cargo cover. That better be there with the mats...
