Looks good. Good to know that they are the same size. Did you need to do recoding?

phattbam 07-01-2010 06:48 PM

They do require coding.

crazy4cars 07-01-2010 10:56 PM

Are the plugs the same?

Daripper 07-02-2010 12:06 AM

Thats awesome Phatt! Dude, Im going to PM you to get all the details. Congrats on the second mod! Looks awesome! I wanna do the same.

rh71 07-02-2010 12:09 AM

how would it work if you needed new firmware for some reason since they're all-encompassing overwrites?

mtech8 07-02-2010 12:54 AM

I don't see the difference with the new ones vs the old ones. Doesn't just jump out at me (even seeing various photos over the forum)

slight difference, the red "bars" are cleaner and the silver/white line is thinner. The red lens is a nicer richer red hard to describe. I will try to take night pics later this weekend

How much did it cost you with coding?

Thanks for the explanation. It's probably something more noticeable in person.

Phattbam, if you take additional photos, see if you can get some close up shots of just the lights.

With all the red bars and lens that you are talking about, does that apply to how it lights up or it that just the casing?

It's how the bars are shaped and I'll try to take better pics to display the difference

phattbam 07-02-2010 07:36 PM

phattbam 07-02-2010 10:07 PM

For more information please contact Aleks at [email protected] for more information. I'm not sure what happened behin closed doors other than the tail lights fit as previous rumors were that they didn't. Make sure you tell him phattbam sent you. Peace

I just meant with the coding that had to be done separately.. what if you needed regular coding for another issue which I believe overwrites all other code... would you then need to code for the lights again? I can see that as an issue everytime something electronic needs to be fixed... I've had my firmware done at least 3 times in 3 years for various fixes.

phattbam 07-03-2010 11:41 AM

@rh71, I'm not sure what kind of coding was involved. You can certainly contact Aleks and get more information on that though. [email protected]

I will have night time shots up momentarily

phattbam 07-03-2010 11:48 AM

Looks good, something new. Looks like you got $1K to throw around. The difference is subtle imo.

blue dragon 09-11-2010 08:07 PM

What are the part numbers for the LCI tail lights?

Jeg Norge 09-11-2010 09:48 PM

what about the LCI headlights?

MRV99 09-11-2010 11:43 PM

Why would you retro fit taillights? Is or really worth spending the money for something that ads no performance or prevent somebody from running into you from behind.

while it may seem pointless to some, same thing could be said about other cosmetic mods.

Those look really nice! Are they LEDs like the 3-series and 5-series?

It's hard to tell from the pics.

I've actually removed the lights shortly after the pics. I do not recall if they were LED's are not. I"m sure the new brochures would explain if they are or not
