Ouch! That must have been a BIG off at hogpen, unless you 180'd and hit the inside wall down the front straight.

I really like VIR. I've had the 550i there. It does quite well bone stock. See VIR 08-11 Session 3 on Vimeo for a video of a session. It's boring until about 6 minutes in when I catch and pass a 911 and have an open track for a while.
Too bad they won't let the Z4 play there.

I have active steering......A great feature. It is useful every day.

BMW kills you with options......pick the ones that have real value.

limited value items (imho) all of which i have unfortunately:
- HUD
- Navigation
- 3rd row

I'm on the fence regarding the sport package.....it is nice in the mountains but i'm not sure its utility in everyday driving.

i know CCA won't let you track a Z4. have you inquired with other groups? not sure but www.thscc.com might allow you out in their green group in that car, it has integrated rollover protection right?

Hogpen....... brain fart, wet grass, downhill slope.......... that wall on the left isn't as far away as it looks. much better than yanking the wheel to a head-on into the armco on the right side of the track however, i do believe.

I can do Kershaw and Roebling with various groups. Both fun tracks. I want to something this fall but I just have to pick a time and do it.
