What to do with wheels?
2 Attachment(s)
They have to be refinished either way, since the polished lip is uncoated and therefore very clouded/pitted.
I sold my E53 (see avatar) and will be putting the wheels on the 2011 I have on order. I love the wheels, and they're at the repair shop now. The question is, should I paint them to match the platinum gray X5? Or just paint the metallic silver, similar to stock. Photoshopped images below, and poll started! Your input is, as always, very much appreciated and will help my decision! |
I think platinum gray :D

DTM as in 'direct to metal' paint? What KIND of paint to use on wheels is a whole different subject than what color.... if DTM is something else, I'm clueless...
On matching: It can be OK, but it is definitely a 'design statement' when you match. That is all personal preference. I DO like dark wheels- the black rubber and black/dark rim then is set off against the body color. A |

Match body color 100%.

Not applicable here, since I'm not going to dye the tires, I know, but I figured it would slide. Does anyone know the paint code for ferric gray? |
