Ya sure this guy only has 10,000 miles on his 2007 x5...

Yeah, I should have never asked! They're email replies were "blah blah out of state blah blah google checkout blah". Total BS.

I have 23k on my 2004 (Nov 03 delivery). There was a recent thread on some E53s with almost no mileage on them that a collector was selling. The price would be one thing that gives away a scam...

I'm torn... on one hand I want to say "wow that's really cool that you've preserved your vehicle so well". On the other hand I feel bad that you've missed all that ultimate driving.

^ I have 13k after 3 years myself. Just not a lot of opportunity to get on highways, plus I work from home everyday. I'll tell you though that I still get excited every time I get in there, which is still at least once a day.

Haigha, have you had any mechanical issues with the vehicle so far? I assume you never got the extended warranty either? Trying to see if mechanical wear/malfunction is really more a mileage factor than age.

Another member of the Garage Queen club

More than half my 23k is on the highway on long trips. That's where the 4.4 shines. OTOH, there are a lot of short trips to my golf club (1/2 mile each way).

No extended warranty.

So far nothing major has gone wrong mechanically. I did replace the final stage resistor this year and recharge the air conditioner with R132a. That's the biggest thing so far (she will be 7 in the fall). Fortunately, no window regulators, air ride, suspension boots or other serious problems so far :)

Low miles Xs are out there

I just bought an 07 with 23k on it. Looks and feels brand new. We also just bought an 08 5 series with 13k on it. They certainly exist out there, but I will tell you, each of those vehicles were certainly more than $25k. ;)

To be honest, I am wondering if they want you to pay $25k and take over payments...
