LED Halos or Bulbs ?

Hey Guys

I just bought an 08 4.8i e70 and I'm new too everything but I don't know what too do about changing the halo colors. People have been telling me to change the rings to led and others tell me to change the bulbs that light the rings to led so as experts I'm asking you guys for help.

What is the right way to do it ?
