Coding and Independent Mechanics...
 

Hello,

I was curious are independent mechanics able to code E70 vehicles? I am looking at buying a Sirius Receiver but dealer wants 2 to 3 hours just to code the vehicle. I am installing myself.

Kind of frustrating since the E53 Sirius kit was able to be plugged right in and start working.

Is it just a matter of time before the tools the dealers have are available to indy's? I.e. will we have to use Dealer forever for this stuff or once out of warranty can we start going to indepdent mechanics?
