Utilatarian might work but if you are worried about looks then I ask this, would you put mudflaps on any other BMW?

I just looked up some pics, and think they look great - blend nicely with the black lower trim. Could see they might not match with an M-Sport setup.

It's okay for an SUV to have a rugged image, mudflaps help. I just ordered up a set.

Where did you find those pics...mind sharing ;) ?

Definitely practical, but I hate the look

I really do mind the look on this BMw with 19" rims.....
I am wondering how much worse they look with the 20 X10 and 20 X11 rims as the mud flaps are wider (and a diferent part #) and hopefully fitted to go around the fender extensions....
Like what was said above....ok with 18's and 19's but avoid with 20's?

alexmish 09-12-2010 11:33 AM

Definetely avoid on 20s, as mudflaps would "hide" the wide-ass tires and kill the look. I tried and removed them right away! But with 18" and 19", they do compliement the look and make the car look better (wider) from the rear, so it is a must imho.

vtmikev 09-12-2010 11:55 AM

Alexmish was it just the look from behind you did not like (hiding the wheel thickness) or all the views?
Also, please excuse my ignorance, but what is the CA option you have?

Comfort Access = CA.

That was my vehicle in the pictures. In the Midwest, they are a must with snow, salt and cinders. I didn't mind the look and they kept a lot of crap off the vehicle...
