Dinan development X5 50i...

I noticed a few models crossed off the Dinan site list. Looks like they still need an X5 50i mule. I'm on the east coast, so not an option. Anyone seriously considering?

Yeah man, if I were closer I would be all over that too!

i'd be somewhat apprehensive though.. i mean yes they are going to mod your car to the max for free, but, they are also testing it "to the max." Maybe even somewhat abusing it..

It's hard to believe for the money they charge for their stuff that they are too cheap to aquire their own vehicle to test on - no way in hell I would let my car be their test mule!

This company is focused on selling times to the enthusiast BMW community. I would guess that they have not had any issues finding people to fill this roll because of the free stuff. Why would they buy a 60-70-80-90k car(depending on the model) when they can just give away a few grand in parts. Besides, I am pretty sure that any damage would be covered under the Dinan warranty. Form what I can tell there are alot of people who keep there cars for a few years, don't really care about the long term effect say past 100k miles.

Well, let's hope an early adopter willing to roll the dice will step up soon. Very curious to know how much potential BMW left on the table with this engine.

Considering we have the same motor as the M, I'm only assuming the differences are intake, exhaust and the computer program that makes up the 155 hp difference.. Anyone else care to chime in on this?
