X5 shipping from SC to CA takes two weeks??
My CA tells me that while my X5 is currently on the train, it's estimated arrival at the VPC in California is the 26th. It left on the 10th.
Seriously? Two weeks to cross the country? For those of you who've had X5's delivered to the west coast, how long was the train ride for yours? |
Took about a week and a day for my '11 x5 to get from SC to Southern Calif

Over two weeks estimated for me, ended up being correct. I think they just have infrequent train trips, and depending if you just miss the last train, it ends up taking longer.

Maybe I'll get lucky.. |
It may sometimes take time to assign and transport vehicles. What your CA is looking at is ultimately a scheduled shipping date, a release to carrier date, and a delivery from the processing center date. The vehicle may be "released" to a carrier, but that does not necessarily mean the vehicle is being shipped right away. Once the vehicle has been delivered from the processing center, the ETA to the dealer is very accurate, and will sometimes arrive a day or two earlier than projected...hope it arrives soon!
