NO Corona LED Lights for any 2011!!!
 

I just got off with a lady from bmw NA and after talking with several people they confirmed there will be no white LED corona lights for the 2011 x5's. She said the 2012 will "most likely have them." Still Excited to get my X but it would have made it better! Its always something!

mm thats interesting..the updated x5's down here in Aus have got the corona led lights..

Germans still hold a grudge from ole WW2!! We may have won the war, but they'll stiff us on LED headlights for a year before the rest of the world.

Sorry for those that waited but makes me that much happier that I ordered and received mine without waiting for this update.

This info is massively old. The US 2011s have been out for many months.

But are you sure this is the case? Reports of people with October builds show a new option "8TL Daytime Running Lights" that isn't present on current builds. Sure seems like that could be a LED Corona upgrade, but we won't know for sure until the first PCD.

Why would there even be an option for them? Are the current DRL's listed as an option? Is it a chargeable option?

Is that part of the Sep changes? I don't remember seeing that in the changes.
If it is indeed the new headlights then there is going to be an insane sh!tstorm over that.

It wasn't listed in the bulletin release - but somebody with an October build reported on two new build items listed on their Dealerspeed printout - the new iPod hardware, and this 8TL Daytime Running lights.

I think only one person reported on this so far, so take it for what you will. Anybody here have an October build with their Dealerspeed printout?
