where to get 19" wheel?
I have style 335 19" y-spoke wheels on my 2011 35d. I didn't get a spare with the car because of the 3rd row seats (really just wanted the self leveling rear suspension for towing!).
Since I tow, I want to carry a spare so I don't get stuck somewhere with a flat tire. However, Tire Rack doesn't have any 19" wheel options (just discussed with one of their reps). Any other suggestions for options or anyone got a single 335 they want to sell? |
If you want a matching 335 19" wheel you have two choices: Ebay/Craigslist and get lucky or go to BMW dealer and purchase one. Unfortunately that may be your only options. These wheels are a bit new to have a bunch of people upgrading or selling from a bone yard.

What about non-matching choices? I've always used Tire Rack to make the wheel matching easy. Any other good sites that will have 19s that fit the E70?

ecs has 19" E53 wheels for a couple hundred bucks each

Also check ebay, of course. Finally I assume any wheel/tire designed to go on the bmw lug pattern that is of appropriate diameter would fit, wouldn't it? Just do the calculations (google for a calculator if you don't know how) and make sure the tire has the proper load rating and overall diameter, backspacing, etc and I think any design would do. Basically start with the other X5 e70 tire designs and look for a used one for sale. I assume your issue would be being far away from home with a trailer behind you, since as you know runflats will get you home at reduced speed for quite a distance. I also tow at work and my nightmare is an unfixable flat with my gear behind me on the expressway. |

I tow long distances and don't want to let a flat tire stall me for hours. |
Just purchased a OEM BMW wheel set for my 09 X5 4.8i from Mike at MidWest Wheel . The email link is at [email protected] . I have mounted my 4 new Michelin Alpin Tours (255/50R17s) , and in the first snow, they exceeded expectations in the MN first 8 inch wet snowfall. Ask Mike about a one wheel set up to meet your needs. He exceeded mine for safe OEM Winter Tire setup, which provides a 'in home garage' emergency supply of wheels if a mid-winter flat takes out a tire.

Did I read that correctly that you had 17 rims for snows? I've never seen anything less than an 18 is the reason I ask.
Thanx |
Thanks M34vert
Thanks for the question, the tire size was 255/55/R19 and the snow tires where as identified in the thread below.
