Upgrade to adaptive headlight, possible?

Hi all! I have an 2007 X5 4.8i without factory adaptive headlight, just wondering if it is possible to upgrade to adaptive headlight and if it is diyable. I checked in realoem.com and find the difference between adaptive headlight car and non-adaptive headlight car are just the headlights ad fog lights. Does it mean I can upgrade to adaptive headlight by just swapping headlights and fog lights and have my car coded, then it's done? Thanks for help!

I considered doing this as well when I had an X3, from halogen to factory HID's. The cost was easily over US$2k for parts alone. Not worth it imo.

Thanks for your respond! I can get OEM parts at pretty low price, so it is not a concern, the problem is if it is workable and diyable.
