Rubber base (mat) in rear door storage

my both front door and centre console storage come with a nice rubber base/mat, but the rear door not.
I can remember the rear door storage do have one before i sent my new car for repair, or it is just my imagination ? But the X5 catalogue do mention "front and rear door" under storage option.
can anyone have a look on your car and advice if yours have a rubber mat at the rear door storage ? thanks in advance.

There's a rubber one. I didn't get it because I'm sure its really heavy; I have 3rd row seats so I need to be able to remove it and put it back in myself.

I have the plastic one. Its really easy to maneuver. I had one for 7yrs in my E53 and I really liked it. Things slide easily over it when you need them to (like mulch bags, etc). I think that a rubber mat could have problems in this area. It was really easy to pull the thing out and dump/shake out debris (with pristine carpet underneath of course -- and my carpet was beige so you could tell...)

I don't think that the E70 plastic mat fits as well as the E53 one did though. Perhaps my 3rd row belts are in the way a little.

Hi Wslee,

I have an Australian LCI X5 30d delivered in July 2010 (Sydney, NSW). I have checked and can confirm that there is no rubber mat in the rear door storage.

Sorry to hear about your paint defect in the other thread. I wonder whether you took photos of the original defect.

I was thrilled to receive my X5 (ordered 1 April, delivered 10 July) and hopefully I have not missed such paint defect in my car (Space Grey, Black Nevada, Bamboo). I did notice though that my fuel filler cap is slightly sagging - noticed when I was filling it up!

The car also went into the workshop on the day 3 as there was a message saying that the oil level was too high! The car was kept overnight and had the oil drained, refilled and the sensor calibrated.

Hope to hear of a satisfactory resolution to your paint problem.

I think he's talking about the little rubber mats in the door compartments - if you feel down to the bottom, you'll see that they're removeable for cleaning.

I have them in the front, don't have them in the back - US Spec.
