Finally did my own full detail on the CPO '08 4.8 I bought from Beverly Hills BMW 2 weeks ago (my '01 e53 3.0 was totaled Labor Day weekend).

- Jet Black/Black
- Only 16K miles (came off lease)
- Premium
- Sport with 20"s
- Multi-contour Front Seats
- Premium Sound
- Climate
- Rear DVD Entertainment
- 3rd Row Seats

- Original MSRP 2 Years ago was $75K and I got it for $48K

I had it clear bra'd and got the 2 front windows tinted here once I got it. I also bought the Tire/Wheel warranty ($1000 for 5 years (which has already paid for itself as I've replaced 2 rear tires that had screws in them) and also bought the Extended Maintenance as I know the brakes get eaten up on these. They also put 4 new run-flats on it as part of the CPO process.

FYI--I used P21s GEPC paint cleanser then topped it with P21s wax (love that stuff used it on my e53 for years).

Thanks. Although I get all my concours detail stuff from online places like Autogeek and Autopia I usually just get wheel cleaner at Autozone, etc. I use Black Magic foam for the tires and always liked their products--so just picked up their new wheel cleaner that is pH balanced so it's pretty safe called Foaming All Wheel Cleaner (and I have a terry cloth tool/brush thing that I use on the wheels before I rinse the wheel off). And for the black lower trim, etc I use Armor All Extreme Shine--used that on my old '01 black e53 for years.

Also, that license plate is one of the specialty plates we can get here--it's the black vintage edition from some time era I'm not familiar with probably ha.

looks great! what other products did you use beside P21s? Did you have any paint correction at all?

For wash I use Einszett Perls and after-wash detail spray is Sonus Carnauba Spritz (works optimally over a carnauba wax like p21s--won't work well or as much over a non-carnauba wax). Not much correction--I did take it in before I detailed it to have someone clay bar it.
