A window to the next gen x5?
 

So, there's a new concept called BMW FAST, and I've heard from a couple different sources that the front end of this vehicle will closely resemble the front end of the next gen x5. Not the styling or lines of the body, but mainly the front (headlights and kidneys).

Take it with a grain of salt but worth a quick look:

I thought the same at first but for some reason the German website is referring to it as a "sub x1" model, which seems weird as it looks more sporty and sophisticated than both x1 and x3.

However, if it is an accurate render of the x4 then I wouldn't be surprised if the next gen of the other SAV's in the lineup follow the same lead for angels and kidneys, just like what happened with new 7 series -> 5 series GT -> new 5 series -> likely new 3 series will have same front kidneys and angels (with a sharper dropoff) as new 5...

Like most of it. Headlights need to be a little subdued though.

Looks good, but it could do w/o the bottom line/trim on the headlights, and the fog lights are way too big in proportion to the thinned out headlights.

looks more and more like a bubble car that is a Murano / FX. Maybe even an EX. Looks very small, doubt it'll be an X5... if so, there better be an X7... and we all know that ain't happening.

No no, it's definitely *not* the new x5, but the look of the kidneys + headlights is supposed to be an evolution of how the new x5 front will look. Anything past that won't match.
