Tinted headlights

I am considering slightly tinting my headlights but not sure what it would look like, does anyone have any pics?

Thanks:thumbup:

There is one person I can remember who did it in their avatar, but he did it super dark and I think it defies the point of having nice and bright headlights, only to tint them. I guess it comes down to how dark you go and if you match the taillights as well.

I would advise against it. I had this done on my previous car, which had HID projector headlights, and the light output was significantly diminished from the tint. I ripped it off within a couple of weeks.

I don't want to go too dark, only a slight tint.

Try a slight ting and see how it works out for ya. Are you doing it yourself? If so, maybe try one side at a time and then test them at night to see if it's still bright enough.

I have a medium-ish tint on my headlights. There is a link for pics in my signature line for basic overall pics of them on the truck, or I can dig up the thread I did when I first modded them and took some pics along the way.

Yea, I saw that thread, but I'm thinking of doing a much lighter tint.

And by the way, are there any rock guards for the E70 headlights? I just Had one of my Headlights replaced because a small rock or stone had hit it and managed to crack it.

3M does make a tinted headlight film, you could kill two birds with one stone that way.
