Auto settings for Air conditioning problem.

Hey guys,

I have this problem that I can not solve by myself decided to ask you :nanana:

When I turn air condition on it starts normally, as soon as I press the button for the windshield it go on full fan, and it pissed me off :gun:

Is there a way to set it up that it wont do that anymore, wont use full fan as soon as I press the windshield air condition on. Anybody had that before? I had that on my M5 before but forgot how I fixed it.

I need help !! :(

The pictogram for the windshielf is for defrosting. Defrosting requires maximum air flow, so leave that one alone unless you want maximum fan speed. Think of it as a shortcut key on a computer. If it takes you to a place you don't want to be, don't use it.

If you want to have more airflow on the windshield use the distribution controls (one for left, one for right, on the left and right of the HVAC control panel) You can store your favourite blend of windshield/midbody/footwell air flow.

You may want to refer to your owner's manual, as there are quite a few iDrive climate settings to work through.

Thank you very much.

As JCL mentioned, that button is the defroster to remove frost or condensation. By default, it blows max heat at maximum fan speed, but the fan speed can be manually adjusted as well thru the fan-speed buttons.

I know, its just a bit annoying doing it all the time manually.
