e70 AUX input in glovebox

I have AUX input in center glovebox (armrest).Connected my iPhone 3G with cable pptiic - eBay (item 390268099575 end time Dec-31-10 20:37:08 PST) , but it doesn't seems to be working.
In the iDrive/Entertainment AUX/Rear is selected but no iPhone playlists or anything in the iDrive displayed.??

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thats the wrong cable, you need the BMW Y cable which has USB and mini rca on one end and plugs into the USB port aux in, and the other end plugs into the ipod.

Hi,

Is it the one you are talking about New "Y" IPOD/IPHONE CABLE WORKS! - Page 2 - M3 Forum 2011 2010 BMW M3 2009 BMW M3 BMW E90 M3 E92 ?

Thank you

Yep that's the one, but didn't it come with your X5?

I think you need the USB in the center armrest, not just the aux in.

Is it supposed to come with the x5? If so, I'm going in TODAY!

IIRC it does come with the car as long as you order the centre armrest USB input in addition to the aux input.

No, I do not have USB port, just AUX one. So what cable do I need or will it work at all?

Thanks

Just a normal stereo mini-jack plug. The audio works fine - the only disadvantage is that you have to use the iPod controls rather than the steering wheel controls and the iDrive. That's what the USB bit adds.

Hope this helps,

So, the one that I originally posted should work or not?
pptiic - eBay (item 390268099575 end time Dec-31-10 20:37:08 PST)

Thanks
