wireless Headphones for Entertainment Unit
I just bought a 2011 X5 with the Factory entertainment system. I am dissapointed for the $1700 it cost that no wireless headphones came with it. What headphones are others for kids? I have a 9 & 5 yr old so smaller headphones are better.

Hmm, mine came with BMW wireless headphones.

It should have come with 2 wireless BMW headsets if it is OEM. The BMW system I believe uses the standard IR wireless single channel headphones, so you can pick up anything on ebay that is made for in car IR audio. This company makes kid sized wireless headsets that should work with with the system. https://www.gearforkidz.com/shop2.html

I must have been shortchanged (polite). I will follow up with the Dealership. My wife only has like 300 miles on the Car.
Thanks for the other suggestion. |
Mine did not come with headphones and I don't believe the factory supplies the headphones as part of the overpriced option in the X5.
Those that did get headphones should probably call their dealer and thank them for the dealer supplied good will. Some dealers throw them in like some dealers throw in floor mats. I bought a couple of IR headphones from Amazon that work great with the overpriced rear entertainment system. I think I paid about $30 a piece for the headphones. Mike |
BTW i checked with my dealer and he wanted $120 for a pair (plus 10% off). He also reccommened I check with Best Buy and that they might have them cheaper. I went with the Kidz Gear ones for $52 a pair including shipping. Thanks for the Advice!

they do not come with headphones. If you want the headphones, they will tack $120 to the price of the vehicle.
