salesman informed me I could lock in the holiday rebate/financing for 60 days...

I went to test drive a 50i yesterday & was informed that I could lock in the holiday rebate/financing for 60 days...has anyone heard that?

yes - as long you order the car prior to Jan 3rd, from that point BMW allows 60 days for build and delivery. I had it done twice that way.

thanks for the reply...so what typically entails an "order"? is a deposit necessary or not?

thanks again...

Yes, a deposit is usual...but an "order" in the US is not binding on BMW nor on the buyer. (Unless you sign a document that states otherwise- but I've never seen a non-refundable deposit.)

The deal can be canceled at any time up until YOU drive the car OFF the dealers lot.

deposit AND approved Credit application.

probably a stupid question but should the final sale price be negotiated at the time of order?
