Where can I get part numbers?
 

Hi all, i've posted multiple threads regarding me installing a DVD changer.

I've found one on the net but have contacted BMW (UK) and they cant recognise the number.

If anyone could help, the part number is 65129219963.

I've been told that the part number I need for a DVD changer in the UK is 65129195980 or 65129167082. Just wanted to know whether part number 65129219963 would be compatable? The part is in Germany, don't know if this would affect things?

Also I've heard a rumour that not all of the X5 DVD changers can actually play DVDs and need to be activated to do so? Maybe this is the reason for the differences in part numbers?

try realoem.com, they have all the european part numbers and you can lookup by part number. 65129219963 doesnt seem to exist at all, your first UK part number is the DVD for E70,71, E89, F01, F02 second part number shows up for E70 and E71, but the one you are looking for seems to be incorrect - I would have them check the item again, that number doesn't even get a hit from google, seems like it might be a typo.
