I just checked on my order (35d) and it should be in production within a week or so. I hope I get the Corona rings since it's close to a March build (well kinda).

I tried to (re)order a 2011 X5 50i but, apparently, 2011 models can no longer be ordered. Looks like I might end up with a 2012 (corona rings maybe!).

I saw the actual BMW production sheet few weeks back and 2012 X5 was April delivery.
3rd gen X5 is just a little over 2 years away.

Yeah, I looked at a new Cayenne S before I got the '11 X5. The interior is amazing, but the exterior is smaller, lower and narrower than the past model Cayenne. It drove beautifully, but the new smaller size, made me think of the new Cayenne as a "girl's" car. The X5 looks and drives beefier and more substantial.

Having owned a 2006 911 and a 2008 911 Turbo Cabriolet...Porsche builds a GREAT car. 100% problem free and very easy to own (although the Turbo requires a qt. of oil about every 500 miles...at owner's expense).

I think the new '11 Touareg looks better than the new Cayenne, and although they are the "same" car, the VW looks more aggressive and bigger!!

I must be one of the few that dislike the new Cayenne interior. It's way too busy with too many buttons with too small of labels (don't want to wear reading glasses while driving), and whether black or tan, was too monotone.

I couldn't get past that, and the high side bolsters of the sport seats to even bother with a test drive.

2012 x5

the 2012 x5's are on order, should see them around April, if your looking for a great deal or would like to order one let me know!! great deals

the 2012 x5 will go in to production end of March early April and should hit the local dealers around end of April early May. The biggest difference is the LED lights on the car and a lot more standard options. If you want to order one or need more info you can email me [email protected]

I went to the new X3 event last week and noticed they made comfort access a standard option (at least on the 35i). I think they had whatever equivalent adaptive drive is on there too... not sure if that was an option or what. It drove amazingly...

This might sound stupid but here it goes.

I ordered an X5 what I thought to be a 2011 year model, reading these post it make the year seem a little foggy. My VIN gets assigned on 13 April with a completion date of 20 April if production of the 2012 models start early April then my question is what year is it going to be a 2011 or 2012?

Since its going to have the diesel engine I am guessing from reading the prior post that I will get a 2012 body with a 2011 engine, anyone want to make any suggestions add to my stupid thoughts?
