The pics show the transformation from stock to what I consider one bad arse X5! Added the black grilles, wheels, clear reflectors, factory aero kit and ACS exhaust tips. Think I'm done for now and really happy with it.

It's the BMW factory aero kit, check with Keshav on eBay.

Anyone tried to fit the LCI tail lights? How big a deal was the installation?

I did it back in November. It is pretty easy to do. Outside ones were very easy but the inner ones took a bit more time. They are plug and play but they will have to be coded. They work fine but they throw error codes until they are properly coded.

Where did you find the lights and how much were they if you don't mind me asking?

jimmy08awd 01-25-2011 12:25 AM

CJP5, do you still have your titanium grilles and stock exhaust tips? I'd love to take them off your hands if you still do.

Installed the new lights today. Makes a big change in the look both day and night. Took it out once it got totally dark and they're awesome, super bright, great look.

Trauma2011 03-03-2011 11:48 PM

just wondering where you got the clear reflectors from?

The light comes on telling you there is a light malfunction, but then it turns off and the taillights work perfectly. I have a local shop witht the BMW computer and they're going to flash it for me, but it's not 911, everything works perfectly.

They make the car look newer all the way around.

rh71 03-05-2011 04:37 AM

not looking to do it myself but was just wondering once it's coded, what if you have to get it programmed again for other issues at the dealer? Does it need to be re-coded just for lights again?

The car looks awesome. If you don't mind, how much did the lights cost and did you get them from the dealer?
