I got 40k miles on the runflats , in my E92. If I get anything less than 25k on my E70, I will not be pleased. I don't drive like a teenager.

I got 12k out of my first set, would have had about 15k out of the second set (took them off to save for lease turn in)...

You cannot compare any other vehicles tires to what's on the X as too many factors play into the wear of different tires on different vehicles (weight, camber, toe, suspension geometry, etc.).....

I seem to be on the low side of the mileage spectrum, but hot roads, aggresive driving and full time use may play into it.

How much & where do you get the Toyo's?

I initially got my Proxes ST from an independent performance shop but they were very deceitful about everything. Long story short they gave me out of round rubber and also lied about my rims (I got somewhere else) being fully round - they are responsible for spinning them when doing the mount & balance which I paid for. I found out after months of horrible vibration when I went to a Goodyear shop and stood & watched them spin the tire + wheel on a balancer. Not only was a Proxes ST tire from that indy shop bulging on one side, the rim spun out of round as well. The indy shop for whatever reason didn't want to tell me about either even after I went back a 2nd time. If anyone is in Suffolk County, NY, don't use the shop in Lindenhurst. They also sell on eBay.

I ended up going to an STS Tire Center who are authorized dealers of Toyo tires and they did a replacement for all 4 because the Proxes STs were no longer being made and I couldn't just get 1... so I got a partial credit toward Proxes STIIs which are the ones you want. STS was easy to deal with and so was the Toyo rep on the phone.

I guess that wasn't such a short story. ;) - just wanted to convey that performance shops can be shady (unless you know someone) whereas the bigger names have more at risk (like their license to sell for a brand).

Yah, I have heard the back tires wear extremely quickly on the inside of the tire.

Thanks for the pictures and replies.

Thanks Teknostar,

Do you have any pics with the 336s on your AW x5?

I am leaning between the 336 and the X6m reps...similar.

Does anyone have any say so on window tint? I have 28% all the way around but want to go darker...I don't want to go limo tint, but adding 28% might be about right...

Also, what brand is everyone using to replace the front lights with LEDs? I will do a search, but if anyone has a quick response I would appreciate it.

I saw a new AW 5 series with leds in the front lights, looked flawless.

These pics are not great, but they are all i have on my computer today. I will take some better ones over the weekend.

The good thing about the 336s is that they are new. The 214s that most people run are several years old. IMO the 336s help to make the X5 (especially the LCI) look like a new X5.

I am thinking on the LUX H8s for the AEs. But have not yet made up my mind.
