I'm looking for an honest dealership in southern California to fix my BMWs fuel reading problem.

I have NOTHING but great things to say & really positive experiences with Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas!!

I bought mine interstate from Beverly Hills BMW--haven't obviously done service there but the sales guys were pretty thorough and service oriented.

Uh, I take it you will be paying for this repair?

I'd ask for recommendations from people who pay... being treated great when BMWNA is picking up the tab is easy.

Finally, you want a PERSONAL referral to a specific Service Advisor. (SA) I've had great SAs and lousy SAs, all at the same dealership. The SA controls the experience, IMO

I used South Bay back in 2002, they were great then.

Brecht in Escondido. No matter where you go , DO NOT go to Crevier or South Bay BMW in El Cajon. Both are world class piece of crap dealerships for different reasons.

New Century BMW in Alhambra is competent. They were named a BMW Center of Excellence last year, and 6 out of the last 10 years. John Velarde has been a SA there for a long time, and is a head SA now. Way back in the day, not necessarily at NCBMW, he used to be a master tech. Only potential downside is that he's busy these days. Good luck.
