... but have YOU ever revved the motor while parked? Well, next time try it with the emergency brake engaged. For some reason the motor governs itself. Weird, interesting, useless information.. :confused:

"While parked" Is the vehicle's transmission in "park"? Or drive? Try driving 40 MPH then engage the emergency brake. (no I have never done this but at PCD they said the anti-lock brakes will bring the vehicle to a complete, controlled stop.

Yes, the vehicle is parked, not moving, and the trans. is in "park".. with the emergency brake engaged.

Ok, I did this...nothing happened...the engine just revs...nothing weird or interesting about its behavior...

You have to REALLY gun it to experience the difference, don't be shy.

WITH parking brake, the engine has 1/2 power and revs up very slow and sluggish. WITHOUT parking brake, full power.
