Black sapphire X5 owners
I experimented with something and it worked out great. I picked up a couple of strips of Limo Tint from a local tint place. $5 bucks. I came home, and applied them on my ugly Amber side reflectors. Trimed them and got the bubbles out. I took my heat gun and hit it with that for a few minutes. To my surprise , they now look like they would of I had them painted at a shop. Cost me all of $5 bucks ! I'll try to take some pics tomorrow when the sun is out. Figured I would pass this along to my fellow X5 community .

I never thought of these limo tints, I got a small sheet of the reg dark smoke tail light tint from Laminex and did what you did, looks great. Sure beats the painted reflectors they want $100 for. :nanana: |

Laminex would probably last longer since it's made to withstand elements. Tint is supposed to be inside a vehicle. Either way, I don't plan on keeping my vehicle for more than 2-3 years, so it should be fine. I just found it kind of silly to pay $100 bucks for 2 black reflectors. Sorry, I havent had time to take pics. I've been very busy. I'll try tomorrow.
