Hey from the great white north.

Ordered a 35d (black sapphire metallic over cinnamon) on Jan 21. Should, apparently, be here at end of Feb.

Coming with prem sound, tech, exec and prem. Considered sport but looking to buy summer rims and rubber (19" or 20"). Roof rails but not running boards.

My first BMW. I had a 06 Lexus LX470. Then a 09 Infiniti M35x which I traded in on this new unit; great car but lower clearance than an SUV plus I wanted more ride height and more steel around me for longer trips. Phenomenal technology in that car though.

Been reading the posts. I'm very anxious and I hope there will be few problems.

Two semi-concerns at this point. I called dealer last week and asked to change the color to space grey. He said he would try. He reported back that it was in stage 12 and it was too late. It will be black. I'm fine with that.

The other thing is there is not extender on the sun visor (for when you shift it to the side window and there' a gap between the visor and the window edge). I cannot believe an expensive and well designed vehicle does not have this. After spending mega bucks, I will have to rig a 99 cent solution via elastics and cardboard or something. Crazy.

Anyhoo, I thought I would introduce myself and congratulate all on an interesting and interactive forum.

p.s. I have an iphone4 and am very exciting to check out the phone and itune functionality.

Yeah, the SunVisors are disappointing. Our 2011 Range Rover has awesome, HUGE visors...and TWO of them. So, you can have one on the side and one in front and the one on the side slides, so you can adjust it, as the sun/glare moves. Best sun visors I have ever seen or used. They do basically suck in the E70, but the rest of the car does SO, SO many things wonderfully. I overlook sunvisors!!

Your cinnamon leather is so beautiful. I would have loved to had that in my Alpine White 35d, but I love the 2-tone Oyster & Black that I have!

Good on 'em that there's so many great color combo's. My last two vehicles were white over beige. I enjoyed them but I am ready for a change. Oyster is killer - nice choice.

Counting the days down, for sure. The weather's been up and down here. From very cold to well above freezing. I would love to try the X5 on the ice and snow but I'm just fine with a short delay while the roads are so sloppy.

That's my favorite color combo. I don't use visors, since I always wear sunglasses ! :cool:
