Did anyone do the extended maintenance upgrade figuring the DEF maintenance might make it worth it? I know, I know... "Find a good indy." But did anyone do it?

I haven't done it yet, but plan on doing so. If I remember right, it's only ~$2500 for an extra 50k miles. I think that's a pretty reasonable price to pay.

Forgive the stupid question... What's the DEF Maintenance?

Nevermind, answered my own question... the DEF fluid is less than $20 at the parts counter and has a screw-on valve that is virtually leak-proof. Shouldn't be a big deal to DIY.

My understanding is that a full flush of that system is required at every service, not just topping it off.

It needs to be refilled, not flushed.

If you drive less than 10,000 miles a year you would need a flush.

Tremendous deal, especially since they wash and detail the car at the 3 service vists you'll have, and have TV in the waiting room....
