GOOD LUCK! Those lights (same brand and design) promised to not throw any errors or codes for our 2010 M6. They worked, and the light was great...but bulb failure messages. The company said we must of had a defective bulb(s). They mailed another set....SAME thing. Does not seem to work for BMW!

Keep us posted. I will be very excited, if these work for the E70!!

turn signals or AE's? I just had a turn signal go out on me this morning!

pk9394 02-09-2011 02:08 PM

for the front turn signals, will install tomorrow

Kloogy 02-09-2011 02:26 PM

I've asked Jlevis multiple times to address the codes being thrown by those bulbs and they never answer my concerns. I wanted to purchase a set a long time ago, but I refuse to pay $100 bucks for 2 bulbs that will be throwing error codes. Let us know how it goes.

dbox 02-09-2011 04:07 PM

How is it BMW will pay for wiper blades but not bulbs? I've had this X5 for only 6 months.

Kloogy 02-09-2011 05:01 PM

They have paid for bulbs for me many times with my E92. What are you refering to ?

If you are under your original 4 year/50k mile warranty and paid maintenance....EVERY bulb is covered. But, they will replace (for free) only with a BMW factory bulb. They will not pay for some "fancy" (Made in China) LED bulb that is not going to work anyways!! :stickpoke

Under the original scheduled/paid maintenance plan....EVERYTHING is covered besides tires and items that you self damaged or broke!!

dbox 02-09-2011 06:40 PM

sweet...that's what I thought.

xoutpostking 02-09-2011 07:13 PM

So according to dutch1000, pk9394 should just wrap the thing up and send it back for a refund. Damn, I was so waiting for the pics he's gonna post tomorrow.

Kloogy 02-09-2011 08:19 PM

Yup. I am hoping it works, but not holding my breathe. I would already have the damn things , but he already warned me about them before.

Me too Kloogy, as I am sure you see we both always express the same concerns in each thread about this topic!!! Im thinking of tryng to order these bulbs below for far less money. They are labeled PSX24W instead of PSY24W. Regardless I am sure they are all made in the same china warehouse as the "German" named  Weisslicht brand!!! Does anyone know if the bulb errors are something that can be fixed with coding??

Kloogy 02-10-2011 01:10 AM

All errors can be fixed with coding. Do you have access to coding ?

Kloogy 02-10-2011 08:07 PM

Keep us posted after a couple of days. I want to make sure they continue working. I know with HIDS, they don't always throw a code right away. Take some night pics too with a better camera.

Kalekainxx 02-10-2011 08:31 PM

You guys serious that these LED turn signal bulbs cost $100? I have the factory pricing for them and that's some serious mark ups!!

I would be down to purchase a set asap.. Id be a lot less nervous about error codes and the purchase if they were only $40-50 like they should be!!! All other LED headlights are usually $25 for the pair???

Kloogy 02-10-2011 11:38 PM

I bet you at $50 there is still a 30-40% profit

ad78 02-11-2011 04:29 AM

Sure, someone give me the socket type and wattage. LED wattage will be lower than the halogens.

Price should be no more than $20 each.

Kalekainxx 02-11-2011 04:37 PM

nevermind, looked it up myself. Checking with suppliers, will find out soon.

Kloogy 02-13-2011 08:45 PM

Awesome. Keep us posted. You'll have PLENTY of buyers all across BMW land.

TRAINER 02-14-2011 03:13 PM

I just ordered mine.

Kalekainxx 02-14-2011 07:08 PM

Found out who makes them. One company in the states has exclusive on them until May, so won't be able to order them for you guys. After May i can check to see who is still interested. It'll be roughly $20 each including shipping.

Kloogy 02-14-2011 09:09 PM

I'm in no rush. I'll be stuck with this thing for a couple of more years :)

I would be down for a pair as well. As long as there are no error codes. So if I understand correctly the yellow color of the blinker is the color of the bulb and not the lens?

had these for a few days...just put them in. THEY ARE BRIGHT!

finagle69 04-05-2011 07:12 PM

I'd be up for a pair that blinked amber. Why do you want a blinker to flash white?

Any trouble installing them? I bought a pair from another member, I tried to install them for almost 2 hours before I gave up and will remove the entire headlight housing. I could not get the base/cover to fit back in properly and make contact with the light. It seems that the contacts on my weisslicht are too small for my light housing contacts??:dunno:

pimpmasterflex 04-05-2011 11:01 PM

wasn't as easy as you'd expect two lightbulbs to be. I actually spent hours on the FIRST set I had and couldn't get them to fit either. There are two small contacts on the socket that need to slide directly into the bulb. Note: those contact are fragile. If you try to force the bulb in, you can bend the contacts of the socket and no bulb will work until the socket is fixed.

I ordered another set from a different vendor and they fit right in. With the second set, I was done with each side in 2 minutes. You really shouldn't have to remove the headlights...I didn't.

icenutz 04-07-2011 09:01 AM

PIEEMMPP... Thanks for the info. That is the issue I was experiencing as well. trouble fitting on the contacts. Which vendor did you get both sets from? It is my understanding that Bimmian are the ones who import them from China, and they distribute them to all the other guys. As I stated before... I purchased from another member in the F10 forum (who claims, "they were an extra set" However I feel they fit poorly and he sold them and got another pair as well?? Im dropping the bumper this week anyway to do some other mods anyway So Ill be able to see what I am doing with the contacts...

pimpmasterflex 04-07-2011 11:05 PM

Got my good set from jlevi. Installed like a charm and the sales staff were awesome. Told me I could return them if they didn't fit.

TRAINER 04-08-2011 06:44 AM

The install on the Weisslicht bulbs were not eaqsy indeed. I FINALLY got them in and all is good now - after taking a trip to the dealer to fix what I broke. Now, I "think" I know the trick..

pimpmasterflex 04-08-2011 01:03 PM

trainer, your tip helped me out, so thanks. By the way, you installed the weisslicht AE too, correct? Any pics of the two together?

TRAINER 04-08-2011 06:44 PM

No prob. All I have are crappy iPhone shots at dusk. You can see the whiter color for sure however the lack of detail can't truly demonstrate the enhancement.
