Lease price on new X5
 

I went today to get pricing on a new X5. A 2011 premium model 10,000 miles p/yr, conv. package, heated front seats. It came out to $2,500 down and $760 p/month. Is this a good or bad deal. What have other people been getting on leases in the NY area. Any recommendations?

Yes,that's $ 760 tax included,36 months, $2500 out the door and $56,325 MSRP. They based the lease a little over $54,000. I've seen that other people on Edmunds have got the price down to a little over $53,000.

My opinion is that they are not taking enough off the base price of the car. I would get the invoice pricing of your car and each option (likely a sticky thread here) and work up from invoice pricing. You need to get the capitalized cost as low as possible before you even start discussing down payments. How much of that $2500 is going toward cap cost. What ever that number is makes their deal look that much worse. In other words, if $1,000 is going toward cap cost, they only took $1000 off the car because the other G is coming out of YOUR pocket not theirs.

I think you have some room to work if they're at $760/month. You probably should be closer to $725 with $2,500 down.

I just pulled the trigger on an X5 35d with sport, 20" wheels, heated leather seats, and towing package for $790/month with zero down. It was for 36 months, 10k miles.

That's a really good deal. How much mileage ? I pay over 1k a month for a 35i Sport model loaded with 15k a year in mileage. My sticker was close to 70k

That aint a good deal at all dude, I am at $829/mo all in on a ~62K sticker sport, 0 down.

i pay $880 tax included with $0 down MSRP $67000. 15k miles / year.

i never pay tax up front. because you will loss the tax if you ended your lease earlier if you design to get a new car sooner.

His deal is good. Yours is even better. I don't know many people with loaded X5's and MSRP's in the 70's paying less than 1k a month

How many miles do you have on yours ? What is your tax rate ? I am paying almost 10% tax in this blood sucking town I live in.

I went on their website and noticed that she is the internet sales person. Is that how you first got in contact by emails or did you go there. Also, what exactly did you put down (meaning what was it out the door)? Did you have to put down first pymt, aquisition fee, etc. Then you had them work the taxes into the pymt. x5 5.0 - 80225 sticker, zero down, 10k year, 988.83/month (3% use tax + 3 years tire and wheel insurance included in foregoing monthly amount).

Probably cannot get a deal quite this good right now since this deal used the $2500 holiday cash to drive down cap cost. Got $1,000 back from BMWCCA as well as a kicker!

Bottom line is I think you can do a little better.

Deals can vary from month to month due to money factor and residual rates. What one person gets one month may not be available the following month and can make a dramatic difference in lease price.

If you want a fair comparison...you need to list the following:

MSRP
Gross Cap Cost
Money Factor
Residual Rate
# of months
Cap Cost Reduction amount

I would be over the 10k a year milage by June.

Basically car came out to between 82 and 83k. I put ONLY taxes upfront, first months payment, no security since I was a returning customer and my payment came out to about approx 925 a month. 36 month and 10k miles per year. Hope that helps. Obviously I got the 2500 holiday rebate and I picked up my car in december- hope that helps and give her a call- she beat out everyone that i knew-hands down
