Convenient Access question
For those with convenient access, when you turn the car off by pushing start/stop button, do you notice your nav screen still running?
My X5 does not have convenient access feature and turns nav screen off as soon as I push the start/stop button. But my recently purchased X3 35i turns off nav only when I lock the car. So when I am putting in gas, nav screen would be up the whole time. Is there a setting in iDrive to make it turn off as soon as start/stop is pushed to stop? Thanks, |
Correct, all auxillary power stays on until you either hits the start/stop button a 2nd time or lock the car. Not sure if there's a setting to "fix" this feature... at least I haven't found it.

I believe if u hold button down a little longer when turning off the car it should turn everything off. Or u can just hit the button a second time like someone posted. Hope this helps.

In my 2010 X5 with convenient access I can turn the electronics off and on by pushing the start/stop button while my foot is off of the brake.

Its such an awesome feature to me, where the music keeps playing while I get the kids out of the back seat. It switches off once I lock the doors using the "magic touch". But I must confirm pressing the start/stop a 2nd time does infact switch it off.
