daytime running lights Replacement!!

Does anybody know the part # for the daytime running lights X5 E70? I want to replace them myself since I ran out of warranty. Any manuals in to how to change the daytime running lights? Many thanks in advanced.

I thought the DRLs are simply the regular headlight bulbs run at lower voltage. (I never use them...)

If your headlamps are out, just replace them. If your DRLs just all of a sudden turned off, look at the settings in the iDrive menus.

Angel eyes 'could' be considered DRLs. Is that what is out?

Yes, the computer tells me the daytime running lights is burned (low voltage)

Hi Andrea 17,
did you manage to replace the lamps yourself or took it to dealer?
thanks

H8 is the part #. Remove the inner cover on the back of the light and you can see everything, not hard to do at all.

Once the round cover on the back is removed, literally one twist of the bulb and it pulls right out. You'll notice two small white "clips" on either side of the wiring that you have to pull back with your finger once you pull the bulb out to remove it from the wiring.

Very simple...I installed new LUX H8 v3 bulbs this past weekend. Took me about 10 minutes, and I'm not mechanically inclined at all!!

One of mine burned out, local dealer wanted $52 (including 13% tax) for the H8 bulb. I almost fainted. I was just going to pay for it myself and change it, instead of making an app't for warranty

I bought an identical (same brand) unit at a jobber store for $18.

i bought the bulb at the local auto parts store.

found the back of the light & took off the cover. hot hot hot. i'll wait until the car hasn't been running!

will just about any bulb work(referenced by the counter guy)? my local stealership wanted $100+.
