Replacement tire question...

My 20" Dunlops are getting pretty worn with approx. 20,000 miles on them (I don't use them in the winter) and I'm going to need to replace them in the spring. My lease is also up in May, but I'm 95% sure that I'm buying the vehicle because of its low mileage (25K).

That said, what are folks doing for replacements? Staying with OEM? I've heard some people going with Conti's. I appreciate your thoughts in advance.

If you will convert the lease to a purchase, you MIGHT be able to have the dealer CPO it in the whole process.... if so, prolly want wheels that meet BMW CPO specs. Just thinking.

The CPO gives you an extended warranty- thats all.

I replaced OEM Dunlops with Conti's. Love them, and cheaper. I do however have 3rd row seat, so no spare. With BMW Assist (or AAA or other auto support service), I really don't see it being a big deal. No flats (yet). Conti's had been on nat'l back order, but I was somehow able to get a couple in when Discount Tire put in a formal request with Conti. Conti's supposed to last much longer. They are definitely much quieter and are a better ride. I really don't feel a difference in response, etc, and not sure you really would unless you were on a track, which I'll never be. And the look is just as good or better than the Dunlop. Just my 2 cents.
